Gerry Botha, President

Gerry Botha is a retired business executive, living with his wife, Susan, in Vermont for the last 17 years.  After high school in Switzerland and England, he went to Columbia University for undergraduate and graduate school and later to Harvard for graduate school.  He worked for several multi-national industrial corporations, managing engineering and manufacturing operations in the USA and Europe.  Gerry has been active with Upper Valley Habitat for 10 years, serving as president from 2011 to 2013.  He has also served on the Planning Commission and as a Justice of the Peace in his Vermont town and spent 5 wonderful years reading with elementary school children in Hartford, Vermont.


Bill Martin, Vice president

Bill Martin joined the Habitat board in 2016. He is a Clinical Professor of Business Administration at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. Bill graduated from Dartmouth College in 1987. He spent the following decade working in the fixed income derivatives markets for Morgan Stanley and J.P. Morgan. His last tour of duty included running J.P. Morgan’s bond options business at the futures exchange in London (LIFFE). Since then, he has coached business professionals, served on non-profit boards, and instructed MBA candidates.
