Andrew Grimson, executive director

Andrew Grimson serves as the Executive Director for Upper Valley Habitat, reporting to the Board of Directors. He is responsible for all aspects of leading our affiliate including family selection and support, building or renovating homes, budgeting, fundraising, and administration.

A local staff of five report to Andrew and he has oversight responsibilities for our chapter in St. Johnsbury, VT, and a new chapter under formation in Claremont, NH. Andrew served on our Board of Directors for four years until July 2017 when he stepped down to become Executive Director.

He volunteers his time on build days (and on other days at the site as needed, too) and enjoys both the hands-on and desk work he does with Habitat.

Andrew and his wife, Anne, have embraced living in the Upper Valley for over a decade. They enjoy hiking and biking local trails, gardening, and tackling home renovation projects.

Eva LOOMIS, family coordinator & office manager

As the Family Coordinator, Eva handles all concerns related to existing homeowners, future partner families, and prospective applicants. When an application is being reviewed by the Family Committee, she gathers the background information and supporting documentation and acts as a liaison between the applicants and the committee.

Eva is responsible for volunteer coordination and support, marketing and communication, fundraising, planning special events, and helping facilitate meetings for the Family and Fundraising Committees.

She maintains our constituent database, volunteer management site, website and social media presence. When you call us, she’s likely the person you’ll talk to, and she’ll happily answer any questions you have.

Eva has volunteered with Habitat affiliates in New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Global Village in Guatemala. She’s been with Upper Valley Habitat since May 2017.

Jim Masland, construction manager

Jim is responsible for directing all work on the build site. His responsibilities include reviewing and approving plans prior to beginning construction, coordinating subcontractors (in conjunction with Andrew), and ordering and overseeing the delivery of materials. He also oversees the completion of the daily work and the house as a whole, ensuring all work is done to high standards.

Jim also directs and coordinates all work on site by volunteers and subcontractors, so if you volunteer with us, you will likely work alongside him!

Jim has been with Upper Valley Habitat for 14 years and counting. He is also a Representative in the Vermont Legislature representing Strafford, Thetford, Sharon, and Norwich.
